Mailbox Ministry

Every child at UUI has their own mailbox, and every Sunday when they come to church something new is waiting for them inside their mailbox. A mailbox ministry can have many purposes. Some possibilities are:

  • a place to keep nametags

  • reinforce the time/words for all ages element of the Sunday Service

  • reinforce the RE lesson for the day

  • advertise upcoming church events

  • full-week faith information for families

  • be it’s own little mailbox pulpit

  • be a safe space to accommodate Mystery Friends communications

  • be an avenue for various church groups to connect with families

  • be community building—kids will be excited to come to church and check their mailbox each week!

  • help kids feel ownership of the church—their mailbox is a little piece of real estate in the church that belongs just to them.
